Zefal Christophe steel toe clips

Eugène Christophe, a French cyclist born on January 22, 1885 in Paris, invented toe clips. He sold his invention in 1925 to the Poutrait-Morin company (now Zéfal), where he became an administrator, a position he held until his death in 1970. Even today, the ZÉFAL company produces and markets the legendary Christophe toe clips.
